My career didn’t start in marketing. It started in electronics – repairing, diagnosing, and restoring technology at a time when field service engineers were the people who kept the digital world running. Over three decades in that world taught me something that no online course can replicate: how to solve problems methodically, how to stay calm when things break, and how to keep learning as the landscape shifts beneath your feet.
In 1997 – when most people were still discovering what the internet was – I got online. I’ve been building, experimenting, and refining digital business strategies ever since. That’s nearly 30 years of watching trends emerge, watching hype cycles crash, and learning to distinguish the strategies that genuinely work from the ones that just sound good.

I Write for People Who’ve Been Around the Block
A lot of digital marketing content is written for 22-year-olds with nothing to lose. That’s not my audience. The people I write for have real responsibilities, limited time, and a healthy scepticism of anything that sounds too good to be true. They’ve probably tried a few things that didn’t work. They’re not looking for magic – they’re looking for clarity.
I’ve been in that position. I know what it feels like to wade through contradictory advice and wonder who you can actually trust. My aim is to be the voice I wish I’d had access to when I was figuring this out.

Most digital marketing content is written from a US perspective – different platforms, different tax implications, different cultural context. I write specifically for a UK audience, covering what actually works here: HMRC-aware business structures, UK-accessible platforms, and strategies that don’t assume you’re sitting on Silicon Valley venture capital.
Experience Over Theory
I don’t write about strategies I haven’t tested. I’m not interested in tactics that generate a quick spike and then collapse. The strategies I focus on – content-driven affiliate marketing, digital product income, recurring SaaS commissions, email list building – are slower to build but far more durable. They compound. And compounding, applied with consistency, is the closest thing to a real secret in this business.
